Our Mission:
To promote early literacy and a love of reading by ensuring that every young child in the Grand Traverse Region has age-appropriate books in their home, and parents understand the importance of reading to their child every day.
Inspire a love of reading!
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library GTR inspires a love of reading by mailing monthly books to young children, at no cost to their families. All children who live in Antrim, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, and Leelanau Counties are eligible to enroll from birth until their 5th birthday.
Funding for the program comes from organizations and individuals in the Grand Traverse Region. DPIL GTR is a 501 (c)(3) a non-profit organization.
